I truly have an affinity for animals that can fly, and of those my favorite is the Red Tailed Hawk. This is a woodcut of a juvenile red Tailed in take off carved into a birch wood round. The cool think about carving into the end grain of a round is that the detail of the bark will print a cool border along the outer edge.
All prints are 100% originals pulled directly from the hand carved and inked woodblock.
